Now that i became 78 years of age i realized what benefit for my body and brain derived for being at the gym all these years. If you look after your body and diet while you are young and go through your middle ages without given up you will receive the rewards when you become old. Good mind and body functions are a given but if you do not look after them it can become a burden when you are older. When you are young the world belongs to you but the older you get the realization start to become reality you belong to the world and not the other way round. We are playing on the world stage as actors and when your act is done you become no body. However if you look after yourself you can play a longer role than the average man. I saw an article of a woman 95 years old but as fit as a fiddle and a body which makes the young ones envy her. However she looked at her body from age 16 and never gave up. I know of a Japanese man 108 years old and has a body of a forty year old man. It all depends are you planning for your body at an early stage or you let go and pay the consequences later on.
