When in crisis one tends to lose perspective of the world around us. Sometimes we tend to feel sorry for ourselves and we only see the dark side of life. We the blame everything and everybody for our misfortunes. To see the good and the positive is clouded by our misfortune and we tend to relish in the negative and the dark. Example if we do not have shoes we moan until we see someone with no feet. It is the that we realise that what we have is far better than the less fortunate. When last have you thought about the less fortunate. Even better when did you do something for the less fortunate last or when you see the less fortunate you look the other way because your argument is there are too many of them what difference can I make. When you are in a crisis all you need is one person to stretch out a hand of friendship or to assist. You do not need an whole army. one person can make all the difference if he or she is willing to do so. Mother Theresa has changed the world. We do not have to be a mother Theresa, all we have to do is to care and help where we can. If we do not try it will never happen and if all of us turn a blind eye what will happen to the world out there. To be really thankful we need to observe what we have and observe what the less fortunate has. The fact of the matter is we have closed our ears and eyes for the less fortunate with all sort of excuses and turn inward only worrying about ourselves. One of the biggest commandments God has given us is to love thy neighbour like thyself.
My request is do not endeavour to do it for everybody. Choose a project or a person and give your attention and resources to help out. Sleep with the knowledge that you have made a difference somewhere for someone to reap the benefit
