https://dynamicenterprizes.blogspot.comAs a pensioner, I have spoken to many fellow pensioners and some of what I hear is good but mostly I hear very sad stories of pensioners who feel that the day they went on pension they were slowly but surely sidelined by society. Children and the society they have cared for now see them as a stone arround their necks. I have retired from a senior management position where I controled an HR department, security services, pension services, medical aid services, housing projects and more. Within one year my knowledge and expertise were not required anylonger through a consultancy I have created. As a Dr. in human sciences I wanted to share my knowledge and expertise with others and every time I submit my request to big companies they are very exited until they come to know my age then their interest evaporates like mist before the sun. There are thousands of pensioners in the same position who have better knowledge and experience than most of the yougsters on the bloc who are interested to deliver a service but are not required because of their age.
There are many pensioners who lost their identity because they feel rejected and sidelined. Some have lost their social ability because they have lost their confidence and in the process their self-woth and identity. There a thousands of support services but very few of them give attention to the self being of the pensioner. They want to belong, feel important, associate, make a contribution but at a different level and these needs are not catered for. Among a community of pensioners, I have experienced the loneliest individuals under the sun becuse they feel sidelined and worthless. Many suffer from financial problems, personal problems but most of all they feel worthless and helpless. I am trying to get on one of our radio programs to act as a voice for these people. In some magezines they have an expert who answers questions sent in by readers and that to me is what I need the radiostation to do to provide support to those who are in dyer need to be heard. I hope one of our radio people read this to help me to create such a programme.
So many people look forward to their pension years because then they become their own decider and they want to travel the world. However when they are on pension they discover that the income they get from their pension and the investments they have is not supporting the lifestyle they saw for themselves. Many people when they go on a pension they have not fully paid their bond for the house and they use pension money to pay off their bond which left them with far fewer monies they have anticipated.
