SOCIAL MEDIA

It sadens me to notice that gossip, ugly pictures, ugly happenings and sensation have taken over all social media chat shows. If something of note is displayed or if you ask your followers to react on something, very little reaction is normally displayed. However if something juicy, ugly, emotional or even porno are displayed comments follow thick and fast.What has happen to our moral compass or is that only for those away from the nett.
Another aspect taht I have observed is the vulgalarity on the Internet and how individuals like to have great coversations about it. Porno and pictures of porn seem to particularly draw attention. The language that goes with it is something to get sick about. Chat were suppose to create relationships but what is experienced on the nett. is just the opposite. What is alarming is that educated and well developed individuals are the culprits. It is if the Sodom and Gomorrah of the Bibel times have taken over our chats. It is if there is a hunger for vulgarity, porn and ugliness and individuals cannot get enough of it. Example I have reacted to friend requests on Facebook just to receive the dirtiest, ugliest porn pictures one can imagine. I was shocked that individuals keep them busy with such crap. How confused are those minds who live in a world of filth, ugliness and darkness? What brothers me is that the creators of the chat shows allow their media to be used for such crap. One has to ask whether they have any moral compass.
Luckily all our social media users are not guilty of what I have discussed but what is worrying is that such individuals seems to be in the minority.
Another aspect that is worrying is that if someone place a well selected picture and comments on social media it becomes the alpha and omega. Social media becomes the investigator, lay charges and then becomes judge and jury to find someone guilty. A friend of mine is in the police services and he was involved in a shoot out with criminals. Someone take a picture of the cop discharging his firearm and write his own story while putting it on face book. That story was grabbed by the media to crucify cops who just want to kill people and treat them badly. My friend one of the most caring individuals I know, who has no favour for colour or creed, was suspended and took him two court cases to clear his name. In the meantime his family was ridiculed and treated as if they were the criminals. After he has won the battle in court he resigned from the force and went into private security. The person who put fake news on the nett. was never dealt with. Needless to say my friend and I have dealt with him and I do not think he will ever endeavour to try a stunt like that again. However the rest us were like sheep following what was put on the nett. and instead of investigating we just go with the flow. How many innocent individuals were crucify on the nett. without those who are responsible ever brought to book. The social media has become a very dangerous weapon in the hands of those who want to inflict  harm. Many an individual who is disturbed can use the media to create chaos and harm and the law do not address them. It is time that the creators of the social media awakes and take responsibility for the monster they have created and worry less about the money they receive from it. Some of them are filthy rich and the more money they make the less they care. The days of Sodom and Gomorrah is upon us and we will be caught napping.
